Recruitment

At DevX, we offer both beginner-friendly and experienced roles. 

Our project teams are comprised of individuals with various skillsets, including a Product Manager an Engineering Manager, Developers, Designers, Marketers and more. 

For those who are still seeking to develop their skills, we offer internship programs as training for various roles. 

Apply to be a part of an existing project, or if you want to bring an idea to life, you can start a project team with us as a Product Manager and DevX will select top candidates to join your team. 

Project Roles

Frontend Developer

Frontend developers will define the product presentation by working with the designers to translate the prototypes into a dynamic User Interface and Integrating APIs. They will also coordinate the development progress by communicating with the Engineering Manager. Popular frameworks include React, Angular, and Vue along with HTML/CSS.

Backend Developer

Backend developers will evolve the product's business logic into robust backend services often in the form of developing APIs and designing database schema. They will also coordinate the development progress by communicating with the Engineering Manager. Popular technologies include Node.js, Python, and Go. 

Designer

Designers will work as a team to execute the product's visual design. Designers should provide wireframes and low and high-fidelity prototypes using Sketch or Figma.

Designers will work closely with frontend developers to render their prototypes as well as the PM and marketing team to design promotional material. 

Marketing

Members of the marketing team will work closely with the PM and Designers to establish a recognizable product brand. Marketers should be resourceful and engage in user testing and demographic analysis. They will find new ways to reach and engage target audiences. 

Beginner Roles

Product Manager Intern

For applicants who want to be a PM but feel like they are missing experience, the PM internship program will prepare you to lead a team of your own. Attend Product Management workshops from an experienced PM and participate in mock interviews with your peers. 

Design Intern

For applicants who do not have tehcnical UI Design experience, the Design Internship will provide you with valuable design expertise as well as a UX portfolio. Attend UX workshops led by an experienced designer, learn to use Figma, and complete a design project of your own. 

Developer Intern

The developer internship will equip you to work on both frontend and backend tasks as part of a DevX team and beyond. Interns will attend workshops led by experienced Developers and work on a development project of their own.

Leadership Roles

Product Manager

Product Managers should identify the customer need and the larger business objectives that the product will fulfill, articulate what success looks like for the product, and rally the team to turn that vision into a reality. Product managers should be dedicated, goal-oriented individuals with an understanding of the Product Development Lifecycle and working cross-functionally.

The application process for Product Managers is separate from all other roles. 

Engineering Manager

Engineering Managers will foster communication between the developers and the PM to ensure goals are being met and the capabilities of the product and the team are matched and understood. EMs should be communicative, organized individuals with technical expertise, extensive web and mobile app development experience, and preferably past experience as a developer on a DevX team. 

Application Process

1. Info Session

Come to our info session to learn about our various roles, project teams and application process. You can then express interest in your top teams when you apply. End the session with some valuable networking time with both current and potential future DevX members!

2. Submit Application

Tell us about your interests and how you think you can contribute to Devx. We will be looking at your resume and portfolio (if applicable).

3. Coffee Chats

Let us get to know you better. If your resume is a good match, we will invite you to tell us a little bit about yourself in person. 

4. Final Interviews

If your skills are a good match for any of our teams, you will be invited to individual final round interviews with the Product Managers of this year's teams. 

If all goes well, PMs will send out an email formally inviting you to the team. Welcome!
